I prioritize working with clients to attain post-traumatic growth and create affirming meanings about their life experiences. My clients address a variety of experiences including childhood trauma, adjustment challenges, institutional trauma, attachment patterns, and grief. I operate from a social justice based lens, focusing on social conditions that can impact individual experiences. This helps reduce shame and stigma and builds a sense of togetherness.
In addition to my specialty focus on trauma work, I provide Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness based CBT approaches for overcoming general mental health experiences like anxiety and depression. I use internal family systems themes to help clients build the essential skills of self awareness and compassion. Sessions can include focused mindfulness practices, guided recall and reprocessing of difficult experiences, and confrontation
of negative beliefs of self.
